Error Loading, Does Windows 8 cause this problem? Help please

My friend who is a new player to AtWar is having problems loading the game, it reaches 6/7 and then the following red error message appears:

Error: Uncaught RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView, Script: http://cn.atwar-game.com/java/zip/zip.js, Line: 34, Column: 15, StackTrace: RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView

His laptop and its software is Chinese, if that helps. The system is Window 8. Does anyone know anything useful or have any helpful suggestions?
