Why?

Why do we have such a complex system of cp and points and wins/losses and bla...

Why can't we be normal like any other competitive system and rank by best record? At least can we change the system to rank by best record until we find out something better? Anything is an improvement...

More loss than wins? half a point.
More wins than loss? full point

So if you beat illyria you get a full point, but if you beat Noob clan you get half a point

Hm maybe less severe than 2x difference, nobody would really want to play for .5 points since thats basically a draw

Essentially that is what you have now, so eventually would have the same problems. With the current clans being even (really most clans have the capacity to beat any other) the need for determining strength is unneeded in the awarding of points.

The current system is out of date, and was created when some clans were much stronger than others. There are about 10 clans now that are all capable of beating each other, especially given that most cw's are with 'even ranks' or 'even' players, even lower ranked clans have the option to ask for no upgrade wars to counter the difference in accounts.

With respect the changes for clan wars and points should be decided by those playing them, but it appears the admins are reluctant to listen and are attached to using competence or something similar under the impression that this will give 'weaker' clans an opportunity. The truth is it just punishes more consistent and arguably deserving clans from winning seasons.

The simplest way under the current system for clans to be treated fairly would be to reset competence season by season, that however will require more cws to be included to keep activity and not punish uber active clans, inevitably once again we will arrive at the same point.

Here are the two major problems with the CW system currently.

1. Competence or any form of seperating clans or hypothetical strength being a factor in point gains,
2. Limited cws being included in any form

Any solution that does not address these two problems will always lead back to the same point.
