Just watched a bit of your real football and i have to say ...omfg that was boring as shit.

- dudes line up ...then they clash
- dude who has the ball throws it somewhere ...or everyone jumps at him xD
- thats like 10 seconds of game being played
- then they line up again -___-
- again 10 seconds max of game being played ...then they line up again

In 10 minutes of watching i have seen 8 minutes of league logo and dudes walking to their post to line up and 2 min of WTF is goin on and where is the ball -___-

>if it gets to close to the other team kick it back to mid-field
>try to go to the goal
>get blocked
>other team tries to go for the goal

Im Southern and American but i like F1 better than NASCAR. I find both European Football and American Football fun to watch. But American Football is more watched in America cause every state wants to see its team win. While Team USA in European Football doesnt even match up to most European Teams. We would rather have rivaly agianst other state football teams than watch USA lose to a 3rd World Country.

America is a continent conformed by 35 countries, of which 3 have been football world-champions. Namely: Brasil (5 titles), Argentina (2 titles) and Uruguay (2 titles). 9/19 world championship titles go to American countries that call football, futebol, fútbol, balonpié, etc. the game played with the feet, 22 players and one ball!

Btw. the United States of America was third place in the very first WC held in 1930 in Uruguay! Interesting, isn't it?

They are completely different games. One is about putting a player into position and the other one is about putting a team into position. One allows forward passes and the other only passes to the side or back. The one foments individuality and the other collectivity... that's why rugby is being used as a "tool" to work with young people in the townships of Argentina, South Africa, etc. to give them a way to control aggressiveness and teach respect. Finally, rugby is played in 3 halves: 1st half and 2nd half... followed by the so-called 3rd half, where players of both teams "compete" in a pub!!! CHEERS!

It is the THIRD most played team sport in the United States outside of ONLY basketball and baseball (Notice that I did not mention American football). Also, over 27 million Americans watched our World Cup game against Portugal. That trumps the average National Football League games viewership of around 17 million per game(though it does not compare to the 110+ million who watch the Super Bowl Each Year). People in the United States don't tend to watch soccer on a regular basis though compared to countries in Europe and Latin America because our national soccer league(the MLS) does not have many great world caliber players like are seen in other leagues around the world. Therefore, how can you expect it to compete with the NFL, NBA, and MLB who possess the greatest players in the world for their respective sports? It is common sense. We want to see the best play the game, and Major League Soccer does not have the best. And we aren't going to watch European leagues play on TV either because we are left with no home team to cheer for. That is why we wait every two years for either the World Cup or the Olympics to pay much attention to soccer rather than watch it religiously throughout the year as we do the other sports that are available to watch in the United States.
