DDoS protection

Recently, Atwar has been going down because of the DDoS attacks. It would be a really great idea if the admins would get DDoS protection so this doesn't happen again. It should be their main priority.

Not to mention that Waterkid(Zoro/xPower) started this shitstorm.

I'm a premium user. Even if my lot isn't already enough, I'd be willing to pay more to help protect the site. I mean come on, we're not really going to permit a bunch of would-be hackers that are too fat to touch their toes ruin our game will we? I'm sure anybody on this is willing to pay extra to defend what we got going.

admins pay 100 euros to stop hacker. it failed..

Well, considering they paid to stop him and not pay for better protection or PIs I'd say there's a good reason it failed.

Hum... and i have a question. How do you protect your server against DDOS ? because the theory say : "DDOS is an attack by one request per PC to crash a server / website ...", so how do you stop 200 000 PC to send you one request it's impossible. You must just pay a very big server.

So, i don't understand why this suggestion would be util because it's useless .

Im pretty sure xPower didnt start this lol. If he did Id be shocked. It was SaW whoever that may be.

We are aware of the attacks and are working on it. And no, we haven't paid any hackers.

Done already. I'm sure he can circumvent this easily enough though. And in any case, this would just stop him from visiting the site, but it won't stop the DDOS.

DoS is where you attack a network (usualy intern attack like inside a company, bussiness, etc.). You attack from a computer and you attack your own network. DDoS is Distributed and is basicly an attack from internet. Tho, i doubt it is, as most common servers have UDP flooding protections nowadays. I'd also doubt they'd have server on their own, as that would be even more vulnerable to attack. Here is a little chart for BASIC understanding, why his IP won't show that easily from a botnet (but he could be if he's like mailing directly, or talking directly, without proxy/vpn, in which case, he's retarded).:
