Theres only few "white bear" veterans left.
We are cry babes, but after so many years admins have to to something to stimulate us to stay and play.

Who from veterans is still here?

Maybe : Chess, eagle and...... me? Acq, jf and few others arent very active.
Rip many old players.

Beginner room is something different, how much time u need to get new : Hrcak, Heat, Grom, Njab,WD...

Theres needed special group of ppl which would help and play with new players.
Supporters are useless, that group need to be deleted or changed into coach team for new players.

Competitive scene is on sad level. Theres like 10 players left+random noobs like Croat which are here to fill cw space. D

Comp scene is unfriendly generally speaking, and I don't think most would be willing to adjust to new metas or changes.

Personally I would allow playing duels in pcs. Like both players set same stake and winner take it. That wouldnt be gambling cuz u cant cash out that money. But with that u could buy aw t shirt or similar thing.

It is unfriendly cuz todays r 7-8-9 are so bad. Good players doesn't have any motivation to play vs them. Its like Canada play vs Bhutan in hockey.

I suggested that every clan take one noob every season and at the end of that s. they will had to play 1v1 tour. Winner will make that clan proud.

But zero low ranks sign up...

For that afford some awards are needed : trophy, pc, paid prostitute or similar.

Or lets let things stay like they are, new players will learn how to ally fag and how to spam air trans in 100k games.

Dave is a programmer but is also an investor who aims to make a return.

To make this return he needs to ensure the playerbase is growing. A steady influx of new accounts is a great start.
Then the focus can be put on adding extra premium features.
After fixing all bugs, Dave's initial focus should be to ensure:

Rate of new players joining > rate of old players leaving

Finally, the marketing strategy is needed, however that's the last concern for dave atm I believe, he's fully focused on game development which is a good move because marketing is most effective when you have a finished product

Yeah that's all well and good. But. That is no guarantee new players will bring income. Im sure if the older players are here is would increase interest in new players buying premium.

And finally if dave really sees new players above the old, he's fucked.

He wont make return till premium is 40$ per year. Even rich players from : NL, USA doesnt want to pay anything on aw,. Most of them got prem for free, like waffel (he should paid now for prem or get long ban-banged)....

Option to buy premium on day, 3, 7, 10 days is needed here. Sometimes thats enough and will make someone spent money on aw + duels with pc stake.

More seriously I totally agree :

- Protocoins bets on duels (with some specific rules to avoid the endless dramas that it will create, like fake deco - I can already hear grom cries D -, ghosting etc...) that implies PC are really useful tho, cause ATM they're useless ;

- 24H premium option for 1$ or 1,50 $ (small rivers make the big ones) ;

- special shits for old players who participate in duels and cw (like a more organized training program with rewards or recognition, like a wall of game or trophies)

- new units and buildings.

That is only a opinion, as his former statistics have shown, and by the amount of players in beginners lobby, one can clearly see there are plenty of new people who are interested in what atwar has to offer. Unfortunately we are old players, we already bought premium, he cant cater to us and what we want because of the lack of a true revenue stream as we already bought life time premium and amok ran off with the profit. He has to make atwar a better sell to new players before he can really worry about fan service for us old players.

Thankgod neither one of you guys bought this game, because this is legit the dumbest thing i've heard,especially from you, Mauzer, I didn't get my premium for free.

Who on earth will buy a daily premium option? And this for literally 1$ a day, when in fact a whole year is just 36$... The best thing to do with this is atleast a subscription pack for atleast 1 week or month, so people can check if its the 36$ worth for a whole year. Protocoins bet on duels is probably the best idea between all of those, but I can only imagine how much of a chaos it will create, we already have so many problems within the duel community, people fake disconnecting, farming noobs, attacking and ending turn when someone is disconnected etc. etc. Adding something at stake will only worsen these problems, since people are already greedy and shady for elo on this game, can't imagine how greedy they will become when there are Protocoins at stake.

Special shit for old players? Why? There is nothing that makes older players more special than newer players besides their experience in the game and the years of development they've been through. We already have a wall of fame, made by Chess, i'd say thats already enough ego-boosting as it is. New units and buildings have already been discussed for a long time, yet nobody can come up with a decent new unit, since we've actually already used most of the possibilites that fit in his game.

Nice contradicting yourself in the same sentence : old players have nothing special beside their experience and their seniority. So they're more experienced and have a better knowledge of the game. On the PC bets I agree it might be difficult to set up, I was just opening the field of interrogations.

About the units and the buildings well just give the possibility to make buildings an option (like it is for extra cities) would be a good first step.

I'm not answering to Helly cause his post is boring and empty.

Finally, about the wall of fame, chess one is useless since only a few nerds check the forum.

Oh and about the daily subscription I think it's totally justified and a good idea since before u buy a week u might be willing to try one day. Plus u'll get the money from people who just want to try the game full option but won't come back for more for several reasons.

Calculate how bad is dollar for day of premium... It would be good thing, cuz some players want that day to play, or to make map or idk.

I said 3 things which are needed, and they can push this game or it will die or stay like it is.

1. Less day premium options.
2. Play duels/cws/games in pcs + option to buy more things with pcs.
3. Special gifts for old players, every year.

I'm becoming so extremely sick and tired of you whiny brats claiming that we got on our fucking knees and begged to do work for free. You think I'm not an old player? Where were you in 2010? Not fucking here. Did you have a hand in inventing and discovering the foundations of today's exploits? You fucking didn't. Why in the hell do you think a bunch of people who don't even understand how to properly balance a set of strategies to keep the game fresh and changing should be more respected than us? Why should a small group of dudes that have cheated ELO and underhandedly garnered jpg accolades over the years deserve more respect than those of us who have put literal hundreds of hours in just two months into planning, developing, and enacting projects and ideas to keep the game alive and bring it back to financial profitability?

I won't spoil anything, but we have spoken about ideas similar to this and are actively exploring ways for players to enjoy premium benefits. A daily payment option though? I could see weeklong access being interesting, but I'm not sure the game is at a point where that seems appropriate.

Would you guys see more incentive to go Premium if it meant you received other benefits akin to other services like Xbox Live or Artix Entertainment Services, where you get free items/SP/PCs every week or something? Perhaps a permanent 1.25%/1.50% SP boost, daily login bonuses, and PC jackpots?

Well that's a good reason not to do it I wasn't aware about, since I have friends who have a website in Paris and they actually make a lot of money thanks to daily subscription, your paiement service fucks u up (I know that they pay x euros for 1000 operations, whatever the amount is if its under 20€ Per transaction or something)

Daily option is good for several reasons but in the end u know better than us since it's your game.

But I still believe it might worth a try, since today only a few people buy premium (at least I think) but the fact that they would be able to discover the premium advantages (and I know there is this option after 2 days offline or something) for just a dollar will give them The envy to purchase a more expensive package.

Your call.

In any case that's a pain in the ass for me to see that, in the end, boywind point of view prevails.

(And about the pc as long as they're useless I don't see what that would bring)
