So you're 13 in America, and you want enough money to buy a bike.

Go look in your locale newspaper for classifieds, look for something that doesn't need work experience/education, and literally just phone them and ask them straight up. Ask them if they'll allow a 13 yr old to do some work there -- or have your parents phone them to ask the same question.

Look for something around your house that you can claim and sell. Like if your parents have some useless tools or something in the basement that isn't used at all, ask your parents if you can try to sell it for your bike.


Obviously the world/america is going through some tough times where it's hard to get a job, but hopefully you figure something out. Btw if all else fails, ask for that damn bike for Christmas, or your birthday. Your parents could begin saving for it now, and slowly will get enough for it while still paying all the other expenses.

If you are under 16 you probably need a work permit, but im not sure if that is just in the state i live in. You seriously have to do research yourself not ask on the Afterwind forums
