Another blitz cry thread?

Maybe blitz does need a nerf. Lets not just talk about ukraine. How about 1v1 Blitz germany vs U.k..

Turn 6 this is what it looks like (this was an actual 1v1)



55 on berlin almost all the time not to be capped, with plenty of defense in Austria, czech.. 3k a turn..

Rank 7 didnt neglect any walls. Only thing he didnt do was break berlin t2. He had my walls down.

And 10 units on my cap turn 3 was because he failed..

So before trolling my thread know the facts kiddo

I watched the game? He never rushed you, his gen was in marseille.
he never broke your walls with the exception of berlin.

Blitz is already nerfed.

Blitz is weak and expensive to compensate the high range.

The problem in this game is not the blitz strat, was your opponent.

Germany blitz is not really the best option in my opinion if you play against a good uk or france or Italy or Turkey or Ukranie.

Anyways, your oponent can choose another country instead uk too.

Really are you posting this with your experience?

When I see Blitz growing to be the most popular strategy, I will support blitz nerf.

Since it isn't, I fail to see why this is necessary.

Its not only one country btw, you can do some crazy stuff with blitz with most of the countries on europe+ 10k.

Europe+ has countries everywhere on the range of income and reinforcements, as well as diverse distances between cities. Chances are that if some country/strategy combination is overpowered in Europe+, there are similar OP combinations in other maps.
Europe/Europe+ with 5k/10k starting funds always were the major competitive maps, meaning cws and most of the duels are played there. It is very important for those maps to stay balanced, and this requires nerfing strategies if needed.

I think the problem is the combination of Blitz with Ukraine. I would rather nerf Ukraine another time instead of touching Blitzkrieg to be honest. I like the fact that Blitz became playable in duels for once.

I think the problem is the combination of Blitz with Ukraine. I would rather nerf Ukraine another time instead of touching Blitzkrieg to be honest. I like the fact that Blitz became playable in duels for once.

In case you meant that most duels are played on maps other than Europe+, I doubt that. And even if this was the case then it's most likely noobs playing there. I see most of the top competitive players dueling in Europe+ whenever I check, and this has always been the case.

a common trait amongst new players these days to the competitive scene is blitz in their top 3 strats, even no.1.

Regardless, mere popularity isnt reason enough to boost/nerf a strat, if it was pd wouldve been nerfed already. Blitz excels in one type of gameplay in particular and is too easy to play. It receives a small nerf for a huge boost. Those who play it basically dont need to learn rangeskills or how to be particularly creative in their expansions since theyve so many more options available than say a pd/if or gw player.

The result is a new generation of high risk chancers who basically load all their troops into your expansion and hope for the best. Often a cap attempt is made by turn 5 regardless of whether you obviously can defend or not. By boosting blitz weve made this quite an effective and powerful way of playing.

It saddens me to see lategame skills so lacking in many players these days and the boost blitz received a while back is partially to blame.

Hmmm... try again with an experienced player. I don't think it would have the same outcome.

No but I think that performance in Europe+ is the best metric to judge a player's skill.
