Take theses simple and basic examples, decided by vows and opinions:

1)People who play atWar are constantly sayding:

" Game suck"
" RP ruined all the competitiving"
" I hate this game"
" Fag community"

And they have their legitm reason for say so about the game. Bugs, problems with player, all theses are legitm reasons. However, if you are making a review of the game for post it in your page, Would you say the game is bad because the peoples say so? or the game is good based in the fact that ACTUALLY THE SAME PEOPLES THAT SAY THE GAME SUCK, PLAY IT EVERY DAMM DAY.

2)There are many maps on atWar. You can play the one you want. However, many players *thinkg* RP is bad map because unbalanced and careless of competitive envioment, while others players simply play it.

Which one is bad? Well, both the player who play it have his right opinion, and the player who say the map is bad also have their right opinion. Which one then, should be enforced? If both parts are right?

vows. And actually, the RP part win. This mean the other part need to play RP? no.

3) There are some players which support the use of rewalling in the games. And there are some players which doesnt support the uses in the game.

Wherever support rewalling or not, both argument are valid. Which one, then, is legitm?

vows again. The neutrality is likery to win, then, the "NO" to rewalling. This mean people who rewall need to stop rewalling? no.

It is not a fallacy. A lot of people plays RP. That is a fact which lead to our premise, RP is a good map.

You may think is a fallacy because the people that play rp think it is good, but I am not basing my premise on THEIR OPINION, but in the FACT that they ACTUALLY PLAY IT. It is like a poll or democracy, you dont take into consideration who the people think is best, but actually, their vows.


" People think this is" = Fallacy.

" People do this" = Valid argument.


Your example is also based on what the starved people THINKS, not in what they actually do. They eat the food, you cant prove with this information that the food is good, but you can say that they eat the food.

A conditional conclusion that follow this example: " IF they eat the food, then it should be a good food" is a fallacy as there isn a type of relation between the premise and the fact. This is not Ad populum where the premise is based on what people thinks, but just a premise and a fact that doesnt have any type of relation.

The conclusion you are looking based on Ad populum is this one: " A bunch of half-starved folks are given free food, and they are ask about how good the food was. They say the food was good, so the people who gived the free food opened up a restaurant, sayding that their food is good. After that, a cheft come and rates the food as 1/10."

The people who gived the free food are basing their statement in what the starved-people thinks about it. If their food was good, then they would base it in the fact that a lot of people go and eat there.

Proved that your 1st premise is false, your other premises which are based on the 1st premise are also false.

The only reason, a-hem, the main reason RP is popular is because most lower ranks play it. It's easy for them with the OP units and OP income of the poorly drawn borders. There is no skill involved unless you are an RP player, well then, there is skill but you don't have the skill to play other maps if all you do is play RP maps.
For example, I've played with rank 10's who didn't wall at all and played like a total retard. I'm pretty sure those people are RP players, they don't have a clue about how to play with small amounts of money and non-OP units. Then they complain about how it's not enough money and the units suck. And then there are the tards who think every game they join is RP.
It's pretty sad though, RP is nothing but a bunch of OP units and money and makes new players think it's a good game, which isn't at all.

Anyways, say I'm wrong or whatever, but I know I'm right.

Its a uncontested consensus in the map making community, that RP performs poorly in all aspects of map making.

Other map makers, including me: don't even recognize RP as a custom map, but just as default map with custom units. Why? Because there is no new borders, all of them are just copy paste of default map.

Lol if this game started with RP as default you would have said the normal world map are crap ! You may think you wouldn't think so but believe me you would because you got accustomed to it.

Meh I just don't understand what all this hatred is about, if you don't like a map just don't play it. Let gamers enjoy what they love instead of trying to dictate what you think is right.

Besides there is nothing stopping you from making any map you like with any kind of unit you want and any extra rules you like. No matter how crappy you make a map I would would never care about it.
