Addition to unit creation

I dont know if this has been talked about already. I think that there should be an attack bonus option available for all units. For example a pikeman should have an increased attack against cavalry.... or a rocketier having an increased attack against tanks.

I also have been thinking that there should be an option for units to attack only once and then be destroyed after. This will allow nukes to be used more realistically and would open the doors for special attacks such as arrow barrages.

Why not give the opposing unit a negative defence bonus?

There may well be a situation where the attack bonus would be better, just can't think of it.

Right, i agree. An example of what i think you are saying would be infantry having a decreased attack against a tank...... or a pikeman having a decreased attack against a swordsman.

No, what im saying is that if you give cavalry a -2 bonus against pikemen, then that will equate to the pikemen having a +2 attack against them.

Bumping this, because an attack bonus would give a different option. Different levels of attack determine which unit attacks first, so you can't just use negative defence bonuses.

I agree as well. Negative defence bonus isn't necessarily equal to attack bonus, as it's proportions instead of addition and subtraction. Now I could probably get around this with proportions, but it would make things a lot easier for us to just have attack bonuses.
